I was going through a stack of old thing papers this weekend and found several paintings that I forgot that I did.
The first is a painting that I was originally going to do for Illustration Friday back when the topic was "friendship". I wasn't able to get it done in time so I then decided to finish it and donate it to a local silent auction benefiting the Tsunami relief effort, but I missed the deadline for that as well. Then I thought that my mom might like it so I framed it and gave it to her. She smiled when she saw it. Mission Accomplished. It's acrylic on illustration board.
The second is my small, but soon to be growing, series of portraits. I hope to one day have a whole wall full of them. They are all acrylic on watercolor paper.
The last are a couple of quick sketches I did last week. They were done with my wacom tablet in Flash.
I've got some more sketchbook stuff that I hope to post soon, as my sketchbook is almost full. In the meantime, here are some links:
Molly Crabapple- illustrator from NYC. Fun, Victorian style. You can really see the Gorey influence.
Flatstock Gigposter Convention
Also, check out Ward's Abundant Linkage. Tons of great art links.
