This is a record people. I have my submission for Illustration Friday finished! On a Tuesday! Either I'm becoming less of a slacker or the apocalypse is near... take your pick.

Funny thing inspiration. After talking to a co-worker this morning about the Flight illustration, I had to post the story of how it came about. Here lately I've been listening to a lot of Death Cab For Cutie's most recent album, Transatlanticism. The title track from that album has been on constant rotation in the background of my mind for the last several days. I'll catch myself humming it while I do the most mundane of tasks. This morning on my way to work, I was listening to it when it struck me that this song was the inspiration behind the Flight illustration, though I didn't realize it at the time. While listening to that track and starring at the picture at the same time, the two go together quite nicely. Strange how stuff like that works out.
