Skeletor

skeletor
A conversation with my wife from this evening: "Amanda, tell me something to draw." "No. You always ask me that and when I suggest something, you never draw it." "I won't do that this time." "Ok. Fine. Draw Daisy (Amanda's Yorkie)." "..." Update: Just to clear up any confusion that there might be, those are not Skeletor's naughty bits in the above illustration. It is actually part of his costume. I am not a pervert.

Designers Who Blog

This weekend I was contacted by Catherine Morely to let me know that I would be featured on the grand blog, Designers Who Blog. Low in behold, there was a screen shot and post of My Little Crockpot this morning, in all its orange tinted glory. Thanks to Catherine for the plug. She has informed me that a special My Little Crockpot banner will be up on the site later this week! Yowza! Also, thanks to all the new visitors who have stopped by to comment and/or emailed me over the past few weeks. As always, it's a blast to meet each and every one of you. Here's a quick sketch from tonight. Bonus points to those who know who this mysterious man is.

Design Inspiration Interview

Our First Christmas
Over the holidays I had the pleasure of participating in an interview for the fantastic Design Inspiration Blog. Even though I probably sound like a fool, Jeff Andrews, the brains behind the Design Inspiration operation, was kind enough to post it anyways. To read the interview, follow this link. Thanks for the opportunity, Jeff. I had all kinds of fun. Your muffin basket is in the mail.

Flavor

The Pond
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year celebration. Mine was fantastic! I did a lot of nothing, just the way I like it. Here's a sketchbook spread I did over the break... regardless of how many offerings Baskin Robbins has, Mother Nature always has the most when it comes to flavors... though there are few that I would actually eat... at least that I would admit to.
