Tonight I drew this while I listened to A Hard Day's Night. Before this evening I hadn't listened to that album in a few years. It was totally rockin'. It was so good, in fact, that when it was over, I threw in Beatles For Sale... Hope everyone has a grand 4th.

After falling off the wagon, I've recently climbed back on and completed a quick piece for Illustration Friday this week. The topic is "Black and White" and I drew the first thing that came to mind... well, actually the second. I thought a drawing Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder would be a bit too obvious. Happy Father's Day, Dad!

This is a background from a piece I'm working on at work. I liked the way it was looking, but now, after conversations with others about the overall direction of this project, it was decided to scrap this and go a different route. This background, of an alien planet, will never see that light of day... except here. Click on the image for a closer look.

So the other day I wrote a short story about a frog named Thumbnail. That night I came home and drew some concept sketches for the two characters, a frog and a boy. It was fun. The text in the first image reads: 'Thumbnail: The Tragic story of a Brilliant Frog'.

After having been pigeon holed into only wicked sidekick type roles, the flying monkey became envious of all the working animal actors in Hollywood.
